Abaca, a tropical plant belonging to the banana family (Musaceae), resembling a palm tree and living for 8 to 20 years. The adult plant length ranges from 4 to 7 meters. The soft fibers obtained from this tree are used in the production of ropes and coarse fabrics. Additionally, due to the strength, flexibility, resistance to water absorption, non-reactivity to saltwater, and ability to form beautiful textures in other decorative products, as well as its ability to decompose with bacteria in recycling, it is highly valued.
Our product is entirely handmade by our skilled artisans using natural abaca fibers. The iron cage, shaped like a plate and wrapped with abaca leaves, is decorated with cotton thread patterns, all crafted by hand.
