The abaca plant, resembling a palm tree and belonging to the Musaceae family, is a tropical plant that lives for 8 to 20 years. Adult plants can grow between 4 to 7 meters in length. The soft fibers obtained from this tree are used in the production of ropes and coarse fabrics. Additionally, due to the strength, flexibility, buoyancy in water, resistance to saltwater, and ability to create beautiful textures in various decorative products, as well as its ability to decompose with bacteria for recycling, the fibers of this plant are highly valued.
Our product is entirely crafted by skilled artisans from natural abaca plant fibers. Iron cages, shaped like plates wrapped with abaca leaves, are used, and patterns are created using cotton thread, all handcrafted.
