Abaca is a tropical plant belonging to the banana family (Musaceae) that resembles the date palm and can live for 8 to 20 years. The adult plant reaches a length of 4-7 meters. The soft fibers obtained from this tree are used in the production of ropes and coarse fabrics. Additionally, due to the durability, flexibility, buoyancy in water, resistance to saltwater, and ability to form beautiful textures in other decorative products, as well as being biodegradable and environmentally friendly, the fibers of this plant are highly valuable.
Our product is entirely handcrafted from natural Abaca fibers by our skilled artisans. A cage made of iron in the shape of a plate, wrapped with Abaca leaves, and decorated with cotton thread, is used in its production.
No plastic material has been used.
Each item is handcrafted, displaying its own unique characteristics.
